Why should I use a broker?

As a ’broker’ or insurance intermediary, we are not tied to any specific insurance company. Our recommendations are based on the needs and requirements of the clients and the suitability of the insurance contract and are fully independent.

Although we may have specific agreements or exclusive arrangements with insurance companies from time to time, this should never impact on the suitability of a recommendation.

We will be happy to answer any queries you may have.

How long does it take to get a quotation?

This depends on what type of quotation you need. Via our Online Products system, a quotation can be given and cover purchased in as little as 10 minutes. However, in some cases, our online facilities may not be suitable for a client’s needs.

For more complex quotations a suitable quotation could be prepared within 24 hours. We will work with you to ensure we manage your timescale expectations.

Do you come out to evaluate my premises and business when providing a quotation?

We often make site visits depending on the complexity or the type of insurance required. In some cases, the premises will be surveyed after cover has been incepted and risk improvements may be requested.

In the case of ’package’ policies, the information required for cover is limited and it is unlikely a survey will be required.

A condition to survey will be highlighted at the point of quotation.

How long is a quotation valid for?

Quotations are normally valid for a period of 30 days.

What if I move premises or my insurance requirements change during my policy term?

If anything changes to your business, please contact us immediately and we will advise you what action should be taken.

How do I know I am getting a good deal?

In the majority of cases, we will approach a panel of insurers to obtain the best deal possible.

If we have approached a single insurer or a limited number, we will advise you at the point of quotation. If you would like information on the other insurers we will provide this upon request.

Some online quotations may only provide terms from only a single insurer option.If you would like us to seek alternative quotations from our panel of providers, you may request this, however additional information may be necessary to allow this to be performed.

If I was to find a lower quotation elsewhere, are you able to match or beat it?

We will always endeavor to source the best premium with providers we have available to us at that time. We are always happy to discuss any issues concerning an alternative quotation you have received provided you have not already effected an insurer contract with us.

Please always be aware that reduced premiums can be achieved by reducing cover. This is not something we would ever recommend in an attempt to reduce insurance costs.

If you would like us to compare quotations you have received, we will do this free of charge.

How do I get my documents if I buy online?

During the online purchasing process, you will be asked for email address details. Once you have purchased the policy, documents will be sent to you electronically.

How can I pay for my policy?

We accept payment via Debit Card, Credit Card (2% Surcharge Applies), Cheque and BACS Transfer. We also have facilities via specific insurance premium finance providers. Details of payment options and interest rates will be provided at the point of quotation.

Please note that finance agreements are loans made between the finance provider and the client. In the event that a policy is cancelled and there is not sufficient return premium to cover the outstanding balance, the finance provider will seek to recover the outstanding balance specifically from the policyholder.

Who underwrites your policies?

We have a selected panel of insurers to accommodate a wide variety of covers and trades available. All our insurers used have a Rating of at least BBB via Standard & Poors Rating Agency. We do not use insurers without financial rating.
